Children: Abbey (Age: 24 – works at Stormont Vail), Madison Foster (Age: 22 – husband Jonathan), Lindsey (Age: 20 – attends College of the Ozarks), Eli (Age: 16 – junior at Jackson Heights)
Ellie Foster (Age: 2) and Charlotte Foster (Age: 11 months) are our two beautiful granddaughters.

How long have you attended FBC? 5 years

Which service do you attend? Both!

Married: We have had 26 wonderful years of wedded bliss!

Occupations: John is Pastor at FBC and Vanessa is a GI Surgery Tech at Stormont Vail Hospital.

Are you from Holton? If not, where are you from? We both grew up in Missouri.

What is your family’s favorite activity? We love to be outdoors doing activities together. We enjoy hunting, fishing, yard work, and going for walks. As the kids have grown and moved out, we like to meet at different locations for a night in a hotel together just swimming and enjoying family time. In this season of life our favorite activity is often just watching the grand babies in all their wildness!

What is your family’s favorite season? We love fall and being outdoors, hunting and working in the woods. We also love spring and planting and gardening…just gotta watch out for the ticks!

What is your family’s favorite tradition? We have always spent Thanksgiving together in our hometown with family. Each year for Christmas we have a family meal and open presents on a different day. Vanessa usually initiates which day that will be…it could be 2-3 weeks before Christmas. It’s always a surprise to everyone! Vanessa usually has all our Christmas decorations put away before Christmas Day!
